Proof of Delivery (POD) documents are a vital step in the fulfillment process: and one for which time is becoming more important as companies are required to move to post-POD invoicing.

Today most 3PL companies and Transport Management Systems will offer an electronic Proof of Delivery (ePOD) solution. However all too often this is limited to a scan of the POD document which is then made available on the web; this solution requires human intervention to key the data into an invoicing system.
